We currently have a one room school at a brick kiln that is educating 51 children. This project will allow us to help 180-200 children at the other 7 nearby brick kilns
We broke ground on this project in late March. The goal is to have the school up and running by August in time for the new school year. The total cost for this construction project including the cost of the land will be around $60,000. We've already raised more than two thirds of the cost. Once built we'll need desks and chairs and white boards and everything else to give these children and opportunity to learn to read, write, do math, and hopefully break the cycle of bonded slavery that they and their families have been stuck in for generations in many cases
