As a divorced father of two daughters and two sons I spent most of my life chasing my version of the American dream. My journey into missions started in 2010 by surviving a 120 mph motorcycle accident without a helmet. While laying in a hospital bed recovering from a broken pelvis, a shattered hip, and lots of road rash someone brought me a Bible. I made it as far as Matthew 7 where I read "many will say to me Lord, Lord...and I will say to them away from me I never knew you". For the first time in my life I realized that I had been living the lie of growing up in America believing I was a Christian while living for me, myself, mine, and I became crystal clear. I surrendered my life to Christ in that hospital bed and nothing has been the same since.
Over the course of the next 7 years I went on 12-15 mission trips to Guatemala with my church. I retired early from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 2017 and immediately began buying and driving pickups from Pennsylvania to pastors I had met in Guatemala. In March of 2019 I heard the Lord sending me to the unreached and switched gears from Guatemala to India. I also switched from delivering one pickup to five motorcycles for the same money. In 2021, I connected with the Christian Motorcycle Association in a parking lot in Daytona, which led me immediately to my first trip with MVI. I immediately connected with their mission to equip indigenous pastor, evangelists, and Missionaries.
On a trip to Pakistan in 2022 to deliver motorcycles, I saw what amounts to legalized slavery for the first time in my life and God put it on my heart to build a school for the children who were stuck making bricks instead of going to school.
With the help of MVI we have opened the Mustard Seed School for 175-185 children of brick kiln slaves in Pakistan. We support the education for 34 girls in an orphanage in Lahore. We're currently evaluating the success of a Women's Empowerment Sewing Program. We are also working with our partners on the ground to acquire and distribute audio Bibles in the heart languages of believers who are unable to read.
