Randy and Brenda Purcell moved to Guatemala from Indianapolis, Indiana in 1998 to support and advance the ongoing work begun in 1983 by Missionary Ventures.
The Purcells host regular events for local pastors, pastors' wives and youth, as well as hosting short-term ministry teams. They also oversee the funding and accountability of pastor support and seven feeding centers for children.
They have committed themselves to pastoral care to national pastors and their wives, the long-term discipling of Guatemalan leaders, and spiritual encouragement to young adults by opening their home for Bible studies, special events, meals and prayer. Randy is the Country Director for Missionary Ventures.
In addition, they respond to national and local crises such as volcanoes, floods and Covid 19 by providing emergency aid and care for those in need.
God has gifted Randy and Brenda with the heart and means to be truly hospitable, and as ministry and needs evolve, to be flexible and creative in bringing Christ to the people of Guatemala.
