Julian and Bethany Carter

Missionaries in Guatemala

missionary

Julian  and Beth met on Facebook 2010 after Beth had been to Guatemala on several missions trips. They quickly found that they shared a passion for Christian Education (and each other). They were married in 2012; their son, Elijah was born in 2014 and they are expecting a new little Carter in the fall of 2018.

Julian and Beth both carry a long term passion for Christian education. The New Life church, with the help of Petra and Missionary Ventures, founded the first Christian school in Sayaxche in 2001. A turning point for Julian came in 2009 with a visit to a Christian School in another area of Guatemala. It was there he first captured a vision for the transformation that Christian Education could produce in the life of a child, family and community. Beth also shares that passion and has been involved in school and children’s ministry for many years. Together, they are convinced that through Christian Education they can guide, encourage and disciple students in their walk with Jesus.

Julian became the director of the New Life School in 2014. They feel a calling to a greater impact in their region. They would like to focus on:
Teacher Development – they desire to equip and train teachers to disciple their students in their walk with the Lord. They want to see lives, families, and communities changed because of the Gospel.
Quality Education – they desire to provide a quality education to equip students to be successful. English classes are a high priority.
Travel – they would like to travel more to learn from, encourage, and train leaders in Christian schools throughout their region.

Would you consider partnering with Julian and Beth in prayer and in finances? We are excited to continue in this ministry, but can’t do it without YOU!

God bless you and your family!
