Ricardo and Tracie Olivares
Missionaries in Global
Ricky and Tracie’s passion for the great commission was what brought them together. Ricky is from Chile and Tracie from the United States. He was a missionary in Peru when Tracie followed a call to the same ministry. They served together in Peru and were later married in Chile. They have been on the mission field for 20 years and have three children- Isabella (15), Milan (13) and Mateo (10).
As newlyweds, they went to the historical Incan city of Cusco, Peru where they planted a church, a thriving children’s ministry, and hosted numerous missions teams and interns. The church also planted a daughter church in the village of Tambomachay and has a growing children’s outreach. After 10 years in Peru, they left due to a medical issue with high altitude living (11,200 ft) and went to Chile to serve in pastoral ministry and church leadership development in the city of Santiago. Ricky has a love for soccer and has combined that with his gift of evangelism anywhere he goes to make disciples; in youth outreach, prison ministry and church sustainability projects. Tracie has a love for education and singing, and uses her gifts in leading worship and investing in families.
Now, living in the United States, their vision is to build the Kingdom of God by investing in new and existing missionaries and national leaders on the field- to come alongside them to encourage and serve; to support their ministries and families through missionary care, projects and fundraising. They also are excited to reach latinos for Christ in the U.S., to be involved in soccer ministry- training coaches and churches on how to use soccer as an outreach as well as in discipleship and worship.
