Missionary in Nicaragua
Hey! My name is Annie and I am a missionary teacher with Missionary Ventures in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. I grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest where I enjoyed being outside, playing any sport possible. When I was 13 years old, my family moved to Nicaragua as missionaries. We lived in Managua, the capital, for three years before returning to the states. After we returned to the USA, I had a great desire in my heart to return to Nicaragua as a missionary. After studying Sports Ministry at Moody Bible Institute, the Lord graciously provided an opportunity for me to return as a missionary teacher at Nicaragua Christian Academy, Matagalpa. I teach English, and P.E., as well as coach girls basketball here at the school. I have a heart to mentor other missionary kids, as well, because I know that it can be a difficult time in a young person's life to be moved to an unfamiliar place. I love to work with teens and point them towards Christ’s love and Lordship. You can be a part of this ministry, too!
